Hello, I am an experienced PLC programmer with hands-on work on CLICK Automation systems and Modbus RTU integrations. I can review your existing ladder logic, configure RS-485 communication for both GS4400/GS4500 sensors, and ensure stable polling, accurate register mapping and proper scaling into meaningful pressure values. Quick questions: What baud rate and node IDs are currently used? Do you have existing register maps from the sensors? Any specific alarm thresholds or scaling ranges required?

Hello. I've worked with RS485 communication interfaces to connect PLCs, variable frequency drives, servomotors, and HMIs in projects involving plastic injection molding machines, extruders, and plastic bag cutting and sealing machines. There are still some important issues that need to be defined regarding the PLC and the sensor. In past projects, I've worked with similar systems involving scaling, register mapping, alarm logic, and modifications of ladder logic programs as required in your project scope.

I have solid experience working with AutomationDirect CLICK PLCs and Modbus RTU communication over RS-485, including integrating pressure transmitters and similar field devices into existing control systems. I can review your current ladder logic, implement reliable polling for both sensors, map the required Modbus registers, and properly scale the raw values into accurate pressure readings. I’ll ensure the data is cleanly integrated into your existing logic, including alarms and interlocks, while keeping the program well-structured and documented for future maintenance. I’m also comfortable troubleshooting communication issues (baud rate, parity, node IDs) and will support testing until readings are stable and consistent. I’ve completed similar PLC integration and Modbus projects and can deliver a clear register map, updated program, and concise summary of changes. Happy to review your files and get started right away.

Hi there, I am an Industrial Mechatronics Engineer with strong hands-on experience in PLC ladder logic and industrial communication protocols. I am fully equipped to update your CLICK C2-01CPU program and integrate the two ESI-TEC Modbus RTU pressure sensors. During my time as a Mechatronics Engineer in a heavy manufacturing plant (Alpha Glass), I regularly programmed PLCs, diagnosed automation faults, and integrated serial sensors via RS-485. I have deep expertise in Modbus communication and data scaling. Execution Plan: 1. Modbus RTU Setup: I will configure the RS-485 parameters (Baud rate, Parity) on the C2-01CPU and set the correct Node IDs to ensure collision-free polling of both GS4400/GS4500 sensors. 2. Register Mapping & Scaling: I will map the Modbus Holding Registers to CLICK internal addresses (DS/DF). I will then implement the math instructions to accurately scale raw Modbus integers into real-world engineering units (e.g., Bar/PSI). 3. Ladder Logic Integration: The scaled values will be integrated into your existing logic to update control sequences, interlocks, and alarms. 4. Documentation & Testing: I will deliver a well-commented CLICK project file, a detailed register map, and provide remote debugging support until readings are stable. I am highly familiar with Automation Direct CLICK software and ready to review your files. Let's connect.

Hello. I recently worked on a small industrial water treatment skid using a CLICK C2-03CPU where I integrated three RS 485 pressure transmitters from WIKA. I configured the PLC as a Modbus RTU master and set up cyclic polling using the built in Modbus instructions. I assigned each transmitter a unique node ID and verified communication stability with a USB to RS 485 converter during bench testing. I mapped holding registers to DS registers inside the PLC and created a structured addressing scheme for easy maintenance. I handled byte order issues and confirmed correct data interpretation using known calibration points. A few questions to help me better understand your needs. 1. What Modbus register type and address range do your sensors use for pressure values 2. Do the sensors output data as 16 bit integers or 32 bit floating point values 3. What communication settings are currently configured on your RS 485 network 4. Are there existing alarm conditions in the ladder logic that need to be tied to these new readings 5. Will you need the pressure values displayed on an HMI or used only for internal control logic Looking forward to collaborating with you! I would like to discuss more via chat Warm regards, Ana

Hi, my name is Siniša Runjić. I have experience working with SCADA systems and communication protocols such as IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 60870-5-101, IEC 60870-5-103, Modbus TCP, and Modbus RTU. I have programmed multiple Siemens and Elseta RTUs using the above-mentioned protocols. I have also worked with PLCs during my university studies and I am familiar with ladder diagrams. I would be happy to collaborate with you to develop the final version of the ladder diagram to ensure it meets your requirements and expectations. I can also provide documentation related to PLCs and pressure sensors. Since we are only one hour apart in time zone, communication will be fast and efficient.

¡Hola!

I've done this exact type of work — Modbus RTU master on serial PLCs, pressure transmitter register mapping, scaling raw counts to engineering units, alarm and interlock rungs. For your project specifically: - Configure CLICK C2-01CPU serial port as Modbus RTU master - Map ESI-TEC GS4400/GS4500 holding registers (I'll pull the datasheet before touching your program) - Scale raw 16-bit values → bar/psi with proper range formula - Add polling rungs + comms fault detection + alarm contacts - Deliver updated .prj + full register map doc + change summary I'll review your existing program first and flag anything that needs attention before we start. Delivery: 5–7 days. I stay available during your testing until readings are confirmed stable. Can you share the current .prj file and the sensor datasheet so I can give you a precise scope?

Hello! I’m a Controls Engineer with experience programming PLC’s, primarily Allen Bradley PLC’s, but have programmed CLICK PLC’s to communicate to devices utilizing RS-485 ASCII. While ASCII is not the same a Modbus RTU, I have used Allen Bradley hardware to communicate to devices using Modbus RTU over an RS485 network, so I am aware of the Modbus protocol. I see you are wanting to utilize the C2-01CPU. I am assuming you are wanting to put a C2-DCM into its option slot to perform the RS485 communications, since that version of PLC only communicates serially using RS232. Looking over the pressure sensors data sheet, it looks like the GS4500 version outputs Modbus RTU, so I assume that is the sensor you will be utilizing for this project. Sounds like a fun project.
