We are seeking an experienced PLC and motion control engineer to develop the complete automation and control software for our proprietary machine. The machine consists of multiple synchronized modules, including spool unwinding, dancer tension control, load-cell-based web tension control, color-mark registration, garniture forming, gluing, IR-based polishing, flying cutting using electronic camming, and finished straw collection. The overall process flow, control philosophy, I/O list, and bill of materials are documented in our technical specification and will be shared once signing an NDA. The system is based on MOONS' Industries hardware, including the MCA6-10-0808N Motion PLC, EtherCAT servo drives, stepper drives, HMI, digital and analog I/O modules. The application involves 10 motion axes and several closed-loop algorithms, such as dancer position control, load-cell tension control, multi-line registration, speed synchronization, temperature-based IR heater regulation, and servo-based flying cutoff. The freelancer will be responsible for PLC programming, motion control configuration, HMI development, commissioning support, and documentation. Prior experience with EtherCAT-based multi-axis systems, electronic camming, and industrial automation is essential. Familiarity with MOONS Motion PLC programming is highly preferred. The programmer should share relevant project experience, estimated timeline, and commercial proposal.
