ABOUT THE BRAND Confamer is a consumer app for the Nigerian market. People use it to check whether a product is genuine before they buy it, and to read and write reviews of products, brands and sellers. The name comes from Nigerian Pidgin. "Confam" means to confirm or verify — it is a word every Nigerian already uses daily. That is the brand's biggest asset and the identity should feel like it belongs to that word: confident, plain-speaking, streetwise, trustworthy without being corporate. Brand lines we use include "Confam am before you pay" and "Scan am. Confam am." The audience is ordinary Nigerian shoppers — market traders, pharmacy customers, mechanics, farmers, families. Not a Lagos startup audience. The identity has to work on a radio jingle, a market banner and a cheap Android phone screen, not just in a presentation deck. WHAT ALREADY EXISTS • A logo mark: an eight-point starburst containing a hexagonal "C" with an embedded tick, in five variants (amber on navy, navy on amber, amber standalone, monochrome, and a lockup with the wordmark) • A wordmark in a high-contrast didone-style serif, with five stars and a rule beneath • A four-colour palette: navy #053F5C, amber #F7AD19, mid blue #429EBD, pale blue #9FE7F5 These are a starting point, not a finished system. I am open to refinement of the existing marks, and to a well-argued case for changing direction — but I am not looking to throw away the name, the Pidgin positioning or the navy/amber character without good reason. WHAT I NEED A complete brand identity system: 1. LOGO — Refine and properly construct the existing mark. Deliver a full variant set: primary, horizontal and stacked lockups, mark-only, monochrome, reversed, and a simplified small-size version that still reads at app-icon and favicon size. 2. TYPOGRAPHY — Define the full type system. The current didone wordmark is display-only and will not survive as interface text on a low-density screen, so I need a paired system: a display face for brand use, and a highly legible interface face. One specific requirement: the interface face must clearly distinguish 0/O, 1/l/I, 2/Z, 5/S, 6/G and 8/B, because users read and correct serial numbers character by character in this app. A tabular or monospaced variant for numbers is needed. Please recommend open-source or clearly licensed fonts and state the licensing. 3. COLOUR — Build out the palette into a working system: primary, secondary, tints, neutrals, and a separate semantic set for status states. Important: the semantic colours must be visibly distinct from the brand palette, and amber cannot be used as a warning colour because it is the brand accent. Every colour must be legible on a cheap phone screen in bright daylight. 4. DESIGN DIRECTION — The overall visual language: shapes, grid, spacing rhythm, corner treatment, use of the starburst as a graphic device, iconography style, illustration direction and photography direction. This is the part that makes the brand feel like itself beyond the logo. 5. BRAND GUIDELINES — A clear, usable guidelines document covering all of the above, plus tone of voice (including how and when Pidgin is used), logo clear space and misuse rules, and worked application examples. 6. APPLICATIONS — App icon, social media templates, a market/retail banner, a printed flyer, and a simple business card. DESIGN DIRECTION NOTES Please avoid the visual clichés of this category: shields, padlocks, green ticks, hologram effects and "security" gradients. Every anti-counterfeit brand looks like that, which makes it invisible — and a static trust badge is the single most copied graphic in this industry. The identity needs to feel like a consumer brand people trust, not like a security product. Think closer to a confident everyday consumer brand with strong African character than to a fintech or enterprise software look. DELIVERABLES • Full logo suite in vector (AI or Figma source, plus SVG, PNG, EPS) • Typography specification with licensing details • Colour system with hex, RGB and CMYK values, and accessibility contrast notes • Icon set style definition with a starter set • Brand guidelines PDF • Application mockups as listed above • All editable source files, organised and handover-ready SKILLS REQUIRED • Brand identity and visual systems design (not just logo design) • Strong typography judgement, including type pairing and licensing knowledge • Ability to build and document a colour system with accessibility in mind • Experience producing brand guidelines that a developer or marketer can actually follow • Understanding of design for African or emerging markets is a strong advantage TO APPLY — PLEASE ANSWER THESE (generic bids will be ignored) 1. Share 2–3 complete identity systems you have built — not single logos. I want to see the system: type, colour, applications, guidelines. 2. Looking at the existing navy and amber palette, what semantic colours would you introduce for status states, and why? Brief answer is fine. 3. Which typeface would you pair with a high-contrast didone wordmark for a mobile interface used in bright sunlight, and why? 4. Your timeline and how you structure revision rounds. 5. Please start your bid with the word CONFAM so I know you read this brief. BUDGET AND TIMELINE Budget is negotiable for the right designer. Please quote in milestones — for example: direction and concepts, then logo and type system, then guidelines and applications. Tell me how many revision rounds are included at each stage. There is further work to follow — this brand is going into an active product with a full UI/UX design phase after this one.

CONFAM This needs to work where most identity systems fail: on low-end Android screens, in bright daylight, and for people checking serial characters one by one before they buy. I’d approach it as a real operating system for the brand, not a prettier logo—tightening the existing mark, building a legible type pair around the didone wordmark, and separating semantic states clearly from the navy/amber brand colors so trust signals don’t blur with brand styling. I’ve worked on full identity systems where the important part was not just the logo, but making the rules usable for product, print, social, and local-market applications together. For your semantic set, I’d keep success away from the expected green-tick cliché and use a cooler confirmation color, with a distinct red for danger/error, a non-amber caution tone, and a neutral info state so each status reads instantly against the brand palette. For interface type, I’d lean toward a highly legible family like Atkinson Hyperlegible or Inter paired with tabular numerals, depending on the final tone we want. I’d structure this in 3 milestones: direction/concepts, system build, then guidelines + applications, with revision rounds at each stage. - Are the existing logo files available as editable vector/Figma sources? - Do you want the guidelines written only in English, or with example Pidgin usage throughout? - Should the starter icon set be app-focused first, or balanced equally across app and marketing use?

CONFAM I understand you're looking to build a full visual identity system for Confamer, a consumer tech brand in Nigeria, that feels confident, plain-speaking, streetwise, and trustworthy. You have an existing logo mark, wordmark, and four-color palette, but you're open to refinement and expansion of these elements to create a complete brand identity system. At Webbook Studio, we've built similar brand identity systems for various clients, including a learning platform website for children, a website for an electric bike company, and an online shop for a Scandinavian fashion brand. Our team has 17 years of experience in design and development, with a 5.0 rating across 458 reviews on Freelancer. To address your requirements, we would: 1. Refine the existing logo mark and create a full variant set, including primary, horizontal, and stacked lockups, mark-only, monochrome, reversed, and a simplified small-size version. 2. Define a full type system, pairing a display face for brand use with a highly legible interface face, such as Open Sans or Montserrat, which would clearly distinguish between similar characters. 3. Build out the color palette into a working system, introducing semantic colors for status states, such as #FFC080 for

Hello Confamer team, This is not an AI bid; this is a self response. CONFAM , I’ve read the brief closely and can build a complete identity system that feels Nigerian, plain-speaking, trustworthy, and practical across app screens, market banners, radio-led campaigns, and everyday retail use. I will refine the existing mark without losing its Pidgin character, construct a flexible logo suite, pair the didone wordmark with a highly legible interface typeface, and develop accessible brand and semantic colour systems that remain clear in bright daylight without relying on security clichés. My process will cover the visual direction, typography licensing, icon and illustration language, application templates, and a handover-ready guidelines PDF with editable vector source files. I’ll document contrast decisions, serial-number legibility, clear space, misuse rules, Pidgin tone of voice, and practical usage examples. My relevant experience includes Graphic Design, Logo Design, Illustration, and Word-based brand documentation for consistent marketing and product communication. I’ll structure the work into direction, identity construction, and guidelines/application milestones, with focused revision rounds at each stage. After confirming your preferred source format and launch priorities, I can begin with the first visual direction options and a clear milestone plan. Which deliverable should be prioritized first: refining the existing logo system or establishing the mobile typography

CONFAM The strongest part of this brief is that you already know the trap: if this looks like another anti-counterfeit “security badge” brand, it becomes forgettable and easier to imitate. I’d keep the navy/amber character, but build a broader visual system around everyday trust, readability, and repetition—so the identity feels native to Nigerian shoppers, not borrowed from fintech or enterprise software. I’ve handled identity work where typography, application logic, and guidelines mattered more than isolated logo presentation. On your color question, I’d introduce a separate semantic family with a true alert red, an information blue distinct from your existing mid-blue, a caution tone that is not amber, and a confirmation color that stays clear of the generic green-tick look. For the interface face, Inter, Source Sans 3, or Atkinson Hyperlegible are all strong candidates because of screen clarity and character distinction, with tabular figures specified for code/serial entry. I’d break the work into clear phases and keep revisions controlled at each one so decisions stay clean rather than getting mixed across stages. - How fixed is the current didone wordmark—refine only, or are you open to redrawing it if the proportions need work? - Do you already have preferred application sizes for the market banner and flyer? - Would you like the guideline examples to include sample UI color/state usage as well?

As an experienced and versatile graphic designer with a strong focus on brand identity, I believe I am the perfect fit for your project. Over the span of 7+ years, I've completed 880+ projects, including numerous complex identity systems. The challenge of distilling a brand's values into visual components that resonate across diverse mediums—from packaging to digital interfaces—is something I embrace with passion and precision. My approaches to design go beyond making things look good; they include purposeful elements that communicate your brand story clearly. In this case, I fully understand the need to strike the right balance between high-contrast branding and legibility for low-density screens. My expertise extends to the selection of distinct yet cohesive typographies. For Confamer, my typographic choices would consider the unique Nigerian context where a brand is likely read letter-by-letter after an initial scan or confirmation process. I'm also cautious about licensing/legalities; thus in-depth research and recommendation of clear-cut or open-source fonts will be incorporated in my final delivery. Your esteemed project calls for an unmistakable visual direction that sets you apart from existing "security" clichés while communicating trust.

CONFAM. The identity has to earn trust in a market, pharmacy, or workshop before it impresses anyone in a deck. I’d keep the navy/amber recognition, but test every decision on low-density Android screens and real-world print. For status colours, I’d use a distinct red for failed/unsafe, green for verified, and a cool violet or blue-grey for neutral/pending, keeping amber exclusively branded. I’d test contrast rather than rely on colour alone. For UI, Atkinson Hyperlegible is a strong starting point because character distinction is central to its design. For serial entry, I’d pair it with a tested open-source mono/tabular face after checking your exact 0/O, 1/l/I and other pairs. I’ve built identity systems spanning typography, colour, applications and developer-ready guidelines. I can share 2–3 relevant systems: https://www.freelancer.com/u/ShahzilIqbal?review_context_id=40468095&review_type=project&frm=ShahzilIqbal&sb=t I’d structure this in 3 milestones: direction, core system, then guidelines/applications, with 2 revision rounds per stage. Timeline: 2-3 weeks.

CONFAM I understand you need a complete brand identity system for Confam that feels like a confident, streetwise Nigerian consumer brand and works across radio, banners, and a low-density screen. As a specialist in Logo Design and Graphic Design, I will deliver a robust system that stays true to the navy/amber character while avoiding clichés. - I will refine and construct the existing mark into a full suite: primary, horizontal and stacked lockups, mark-only, monochrome, reversed, and a small app-icon version. - I will define a typography system with a display face for brand use and a highly legible interface face; I will specify open-source/licensing and ensure digits (0/O, 1/I, 2/Z, 5/S, 6/G, 8/B) are clearly distinguished, with a tabular variant for numbers. - I will build a color system: primary, secondary, tints, neutrals, and a separate semantic set for status states; ensure legibility on cheap screens in daylight. - I will craft a cohesive design direction: grid, spacing rhythm, corner treatment, starburst usage, iconography, illustration and photography directions; avoid clichés to feel like an African consumer brand. - I will deliver brand guidelines with tone of voice (Pidgin usage), clear space rules, and misuse examples. - I will provide applications: app icon, social templates, market banners, a printed flyer, and a simple business card; all editable sources. CONFAM Your main challenge is not inventing a logo from zero—it’s turning a promising mark and name into a system that still feels clear, local, and trustworthy when seen on banners, flyers, and cheap phone screens. The key will be discipline in the type system and semantic color logic, because once users are reading codes character by character, even small ambiguity in forms or status colors starts damaging trust. I’ve built brand systems where the deliverable had to guide both designers and developers, so the outcome was not just presentation visuals but usable rules, source files, and application examples. For semantic colors, I’d keep them intentionally outside the core brand palette: a clear error red, a daylight-safe info blue, a caution tone shifted away from amber, and a success/verified tone that avoids the overused “green security badge” effect. For interface typography, my first shortlist would be Atkinson Hyperlegible, Inter, or IBM Plex Sans depending on how much warmth versus utility you want. A sensible structure here is concept direction first, then logo/type/color system, then guidelines and rollout pieces. - Do you want the app icon explored as part of the first concept stage or after the logo refinement is approved? - How many social template types do you expect in this phase? - Is the business card meant for retail reps, internal staff, or partner outreach?
