My friend and I wrote a little program on the PC that we now need a new version written that runs on Macs. I have attached the PC executable. This is a very simple program whose purpose is to organize your notes (text blobs), easily accessible by clicking on nodes in a tree. If you open it up and play with it a little, you'll see what I mean: 1. Open up the software and right click in the white space on the left. Hit "New" - a new node is created. Name it and now you can type into the area over on the right. 2. Create a new node and type into its area over on the right. Click back and forth between the two and you can see each one is stored as a separate text blob. 3. You can create sub-nodes. I usually never go farther than 3 or 4 levels deep, but the tree should be able to go as deep as the user wants. 4. This was written awhile back, so some cosmetic enhancements for the Mac version would be greatly appreciated. We need better looking icons and the thing just needs dressed up a little better, but still maintain its simple look and feel. 5. Font used is Tahoma. Right now the text blobs convert all pasted text to Tahoma of a certain size. This is good/useful and needs to be maintained, but it would be nice to also have an option in config to support RichText or better formatting. 6. The blobs are saved to RAM whenever the user clicks to a new node. Then they're written to file when they click "Save" at the top or close the program. You can see 3 files are created when you close the program - [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], and [url removed, login to view] 7. Need to add a search feature and need to be able to rearrange nodes on the tree into whatever order the user wants. Any questions just let me know. I use this program all the time so I hope we can make a good Mac version.
