Hey bud, Happy New Year.
You did a timed cookie drop code for me a few months ago and have another small code project I would like to see what you would charge me to do.
Here's the outcome I want:
I want a full window pop-up to display to anyone who has never visited my site before, no matter which page they land on; but I would like the ability to turn it off (or <!-- the code--> easily on certain pages.
I want the pop-up to be full monitor resolution size (to appear like a web page) but no interfere with search engine spiders. It really will be like a full web page with a background image, video player, and spot for other code such as facebook comments or opt-in box)
This 'pop-up' will be used for a greeting video to the site. My business cards and marketing points to the root of the domain but I want people that find other pages of my site (through search engines, or from another type of referral) to see this pop-up once as well.
I want the pop-up to have the same 'timed cookie drop' feature that you made for me before, so I can set the point of the video which the cookie is dropped. Then after the cookie drops they won't see the pop-up again.
I may have pages in the future that I do not want to have to pop-up show for (for new visitors without the cookie); for example a direct marketing landing page. So we need to come up with some way so that I can easily deactivate this code on a page-by-page basis (with the default being active)
I don't care what code, program language, or method (hidden/visible CSS layer) we use to get it done. The point is I want it to be invisible (or not affect) the search engine spidering/indexing of my pages while providing a welcome message to first time visitors.
What do you think? Do you feel you have a good grasp on what I am looking to accomplish.
An example of my site is [url removed, login to view] and example of how I want the pop-up to appear is [url removed, login to view]
Thanks. Jarrett Bilicek
