We are an Apple developer and can compile and deploy the apps on our devices once you send the project to us.
This app plays a non-linear story from 10-20 animated frame sequences, allowing the user to choose which is played next. User controls speed of playback with speed of finger swipes across screen 'til animation ends. At end of sequence, user continues story, with the direction of a finger swipe (left/right/up/down). The structure of the programming resembles a grid, starting at upper-left corner (node 0,0) where the lines connecting the grid intersection nodes are playable scenes. From each node user chooses one of the available directions to view the next animation which pauses on its last frame awaiting user input. The grid may have finite dimensions; the story will not continue at the edge of the grid OR the story may wrap from the far left back to the far right, and vice versa. The same with top to bottom but only when story requires, and the "wrap" is enabled in the code.
Audio plays for each scene but does not need to be in sync with speed of sequence.
Across the bottom of the app will be a standard iPad button strip with up to five buttons for alternate navigation. User jumps to un-adjacent nodes. iPad will quickly play the animation's frame sequences (backwards or forwards) between current node and the node assigned to button. "Play" button which will play pre-determined sequence of animations at a set speed (not modifiable by the user).
"Info" button pops-up an overlay image and story control is disabled until user closes open PDF and image with single touch "x".
Mechanism will supply all animation frame sequence (story content), graphics and button icons.
Provide separate cost to deliver a tool allowing us to output future Apps with different animations and modify the number of animations and choices.
