I have a functional application, previously written in Palm OS Development System (PODS) by another vWorker several years ago. There is one bug related to a module that displays a JPG file for a flash screen using [url removed, login to view] (by Stefan Stolz) that needs to be fixed. I would also like to add some functionality to the program and fix some minor issues like text list focus and events.
Code is attached for inspection.
The application is used to make the Palm Tungsten E2 act as a Bluetooth remote to control an embedded MCU system that uses a BlueSmirf MODEM as a receiver ([url removed, login to view]). The user enters a 3 or 4 digit number and the application validates the number in a text file and then sends it via Bluetooth to the embedded system.
I would like to change the method of entering characters from PalmScript to a simple on screen numeric keypad. This will allow the end user, who usually has no experience with Palms, to be able to easily enter characters.
I would like to add the option to use alphanumeric, 3 to 4 character entries as well. The application would have to refer to a config file to decide whether to display only a numeric keypad or a alphanumeric key pad.
Other changes a relatively minor.
There shouldn't be a need for the developer to test with the actual Bluetooth hardware. I should be able to test fairly rapidly and report back with results and bugs.
