The website StackOverflow publishes their data every month. There are currently 4 dumps. What I need is to get all that data in a format ? where I can make certain kind of queries.
Basically, I want all those dumps to be put in a single database so that I can make a query to see how many posts a user made in a certain month and how that number increases and such.
This project should be fairly simple for someone with good SQL experience. It involves reading through some XML files (the format StackOverflow outputs their results).
The coder will have to download the StackOverflow dump files, all of them, convert the data properly into a SQL database and will provide me a link to download the SQL file
I basically need to see what happens to a user over the course of time. I need to see how many posts a user posts, how many badges the user has. I want to keep every timestamp.
It would be useful if the coder also arranged the database columns so that I could develop a Rails application over this.
