Function and Features Expectation:
Similar to any freight forwarding or Shipping solutions that design for the sole purpose of delivering items, boxes, parcel which, the items and products are not purchased or manufactured by the company using this module. THIS IS NOT the available OpenERP integration module for UPS, FEDEX etc.
1. Front-End Mobile Requirement:
Able to pick-up/deliver items using barcodes scanning (A ruggedized hand held device will be use)
Able to captured receiving party signature (POD – Prove of Delivery) upon delivery
Able to mark item rejected if receiving party reject the delivery
Able to transmit all transaction on real-time
Must be Install/client base on Windows mobiles OS (.cab) and not Web browser or JAVA base.
Bank-End OpenERP 7 Requirement:
Admin User able to view Items listing collected from mobile user that brought back to holding area / warehouse
Admin User able to assign delivery job order to mobile user(s) respectively. Mobile users will pick-up items from holding area from the assigned job order appearing on the hand held device.
Admin User able to generate invoices from OpenERP on delivered item based on premade tariff rates / pricelist
Admin user generate daily / weekly reports on delivery activities

NOTE: There are 2 important requirements:
1. Mobiles UI that runs on Windows mobile OS and connected directly to OpenERP server
2. Delivery Module for OpenERP 7 that serve the purpose for Freight forwarders / shipping business or can be enhance using the existing delivery module of OpenERP, whichever works.
Project case Scenario / Flow
Office Admin user will receive work order from principal company (Main Customer), from this work order, she will key in the work order number, description, type of work order (Pickup or Delivery), Add the work order price base on the tariff rate. The Delivery Module should be able to display a summary of the work order available by dates, time location and price.
Once done with the entry, she will than assign the work order to the Mobile User that carry a Windows base hand held device. The mobile user will able to see what work order available from his device and proceed to collect the good.
In the case of Pickup order, the mobile user will go to the destination, scan the item from the sender, add in the quantity and load into the truck, he will than drive back to own warehouse and hand over the product to the warehouse manager. He need to scan first before he can hand over the product to the warehouse manager as to show the work order is completed. The warehouse manager will than place the item in the storage and that complete the Pickup Work Order.
On the case of Delivery Work Order, The office admin will assign the delivery work order to the mobile user, mobile user than go to the collection area (within own warehouse) to scan the items that listed on his device, after he have scan correctly which one to pick-up, he will than load the items to his truck and proceed to the destination to deliver the items. Upon reaching, he than scan again the items that need to be deliver to the receiver, receiver than will need to check the items base on available documents and sign on the mobile user hand held device. Once this is done, the Delivery work order is completed, and the Office Admin will be able to see "Real Time" that the items had been delivered and signed.
