The objectives are:
1- Extract start time.
2- Extract run time.
3- Extract peak power (kW).
4-Extract total power use(kWh)
Methodology:
1- Load and organize the data.
· Run “read from csv” script.
· List names of appliances
·Save in .mat file.
2- For each appliance load profile remove bad value.
· Set values that <0 to 0.
·Set values that >7 to 0.
3- For each appliance profile find the threshold for On/Off based on the mean.
· Usually threshold = 2* avg.
4- Create a vector for 1’s and 0’s comparing to the threshold.
5- Using a subroutine, find the duration, peak power, and total energy for each cycle.
matlab code is provided and you must convert it into python, make sure it meets all requirements
Hello, I am an electrical engineer and currently a PhD student in control engineering at Yildiz Technical University, Turkey. I have depth knowledge about Matlab and Python. I can convert your codes into Python in 1 day. Looking forward to hear from you, thanks in advance.
Hi,
I have been working as python freelancer for the last two years. I was working with matlab for my college projects before that. For the last few months I have been doing data processing in python for one of my clients.
From your project details and the code, I understand that you need to identify on-off cycles for the appliances and identify the peak power and total energy for every cycle.
I have looked through the matlab code you have attached and the python code would be simpler, easier to understand and shorter than the matlab code. The python code will be well documented and reusable.
I will also put in comments to explain various steps.
The program will be ready in a few hours after accepting the bid.
Please contact me if you have any queries.
I work as a Neuroscience researcher for UC Davis for my main job. MATLAB and Python scripts are completely second nature and something I can guarantee bulletproof work for.
