Real Estate Due Diligence Expert Needed

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour Job description: We are looking for someone local to the Houston / Conroe area to lead a short-term due diligence process for a real estate project. This is a 6–8 week contract focused on one thing: figuring out whether a property is actually viable for development. You will be the person on the ground making calls, meeting people, and getting real answers. This is not a desk job. What You’ll Be Doing Find and coordinate the right local professionals, including: Real estate attorney Land surveyor Civil engineer Septic / wastewater specialist Other relevant consultants as needed Evaluate the property by helping answer questions like: Is there sufficient water access? Can septic support the intended use, or is sewer required? What are the soil, grading, and drainage conditions? Are utilities (power, access, etc.) actually usable? Speak directly with: County or city offices Local law enforcement Relevant community or reentry organizations Identify any issues early that could impact the project (regulatory, logistical, or local concerns) What We’re Looking For Someone who has actually worked on real estate, construction, or land development projects Comfortable working independently without constant direction Able to pick up the phone, ask direct questions, and get clear answers Experience dealing with contractors, engineers, and local officials Helpful backgrounds include: Construction or development Civil engineering (field experience) Military leadership Infrastructure or municipal work Requirements Must live within ~45 minutes of Conroe, TX Available to start soon and commit for 6–8 weeks Willing to visit the site and meet people in person Strong communication and follow-through Compensation Paid contract Rate based on experience To Apply Please send: A short summary of your background An example of a project where you evaluated a property or site Confirmation that you are local to the Houston / Conroe area Job Type: Contract Benefits: Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
