PLEASE ENSURE RESEARCH QUESTION IS ANSWERED! Aim The aim of this practical report is to assess your theoretical and practical understanding of thematic analysis. You will conduct a thematic analysis on the complete set of interview data. Requirements- You are required to conduct and present a thematic analysis on the data extracts from interviews with four participants provided overleaf. This research is about issues of sexuality and intimate relationships for limb deficient individuals. The qualitative lectures and seminars will help you prepare for this coursework. Your thematic analysis must answer the research question: How do people with limb deficiency experience and negotiate intimacy with a partner? Writing the report Write up the thematic analysis in a (partial) practical report following the guidelines below. The final report must be 2,000 words excluding references, and should only contain two sections – Introduction and Findings. 1. Title 2. Introduction (approximately 500 words) Unlike a typical research report, in this Introduction you are required to write a description of thematic analysis. Begin by giving a brief overview of qualitative analytic methods, justifying why they are appropriate for this research question. Describe the thematic analysis approach, and justify it’s choice. Describe how you have used thematic analysis. Reference appropriate literature to support your arguments. 3. Findings (approximately 1500 words) This section is where you report on your thematic analysis. The findings should begin with an overview of your themes, plus a thematic map or table. Each theme should then be presented with appropriate verbatim data extracts (i.e. quotes) to evidence your claims. The findings section must conclude with an overview of the themes presented. 4. References An APA formatted reference list is required 5. Appendices You must include evidence of how you conducted your thematic analysis. This should be a copy of each of the four transcripts with your line-by-line coding of the data (in word, or scanned), plus tables or diagrams showing how you clustered your codes into themes. NB: No literature review on the topic, methodology, or discussion is required. However, a reference section is necessary. please note: although there are different ways of presenting findings, in this instance do not use any literature in the findings section.
