I have a complete laser-scanned point cloud of an existing facility and now need it translated into a clean, dimensionally precise CAD model. The structure itself is straightforward; the critical piece is capturing the mechanical ductwork exactly as it appears in the scan so downstream engineering and coordination work can proceed without re-surveying. You will import the point cloud, model walls, floors, ceilings, and then trace every duct run, transition, and penetration at the correct diameters and elevations. Layer names and colours should follow standard mechanical drafting conventions so my team can drop the file straight into AutoCAD or Revit workflows. A native DWG is preferred, but if your workflow outputs DXF or STEP that’s fine as long as geometry and layer data remain intact. The scan is already cleaned and registered, and I will share it via a cloud link the moment we agree on the scope. Please let me know the software you intend to use (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or another platform that supports point-cloud handling) and your typical tolerance range so I can be sure it aligns with our ±3 mm requirement. Upon delivery I’ll spot-check a handful of reference dimensions in the model against the scan and sign off once everything matches.
