Project types vary (residential remodels, small commercial fit-outs, the occasional light-industrial layout), so versatility and an ability to switch scales gracefully are important. High-quality, well-organised drawing files are a must. You should be fluent in AutoCAD or Revit; SketchUp, Rhino, or similar tools are welcome for early massing and rendering provided you can deliver clean DWGs, PDFs, and IFCs for the consultants. Consistent layer naming, clear annotation, and rapid revision turnarounds will keep the partnership running smoothly.
