The business model is the deployment and maintenance of tablets in a commercial setting. The specific target market is New York City.
One marketing segment would be a large hotel chain. The product provided to the hotel would be a tablet pc for each hotel room. The software for the tablet pc would be provided by Boggs Systems. The system would be "closed" so that the user would only be able to use the software provided by Boggs Systems. A user would enter their hotel room, pick up the tablet, touch the screen to activate it, the software is designed like a 'virtual magazine' seen on eReaders and the subject would be life in New York City. The subject matter would include dining, night life, bars, etc. etc. Revenue is generated through the sale of advertising.
The goal of this project is to come up with 30 similar market segments to the hotel example located above. Suitable targets would be anywhere that has waiting areas with magazines. This includes hair salons, cafes, doctor's offices etc.
The deliverable will be in the format of an Excel spreadsheet.
