I often step into complex FI/CO customizations that behave unpredictably and need a seasoned ABAP eye to uncover the root cause quickly. My day-to-day work is in the classic SAP GUI, so you should be completely comfortable debugging, setting breakpoints, and chasing stack traces in that environment. Here’s what typically lands on the desk: • Pinpointing defects in existing FI/CO programs, user-exits, BADIs or reports • Performing concise code reviews and recommending performance or readability improvements • Locating where a particular field, routine or calculation is executed deep inside legacy logic The engagement is long term but sporadic; some weeks might require a 30-minute deep dive, others a couple of focused hours. I value fast turn-around and clear communication—screen-sharing sessions, short summaries of findings, and the transport numbers touched are all I need as deliverables each time. If you can jump in, navigate unfamiliar code bases confidently, and explain fixes in plain language, let’s keep you on call.
