SAP Consultant w/ Japan Localization & Global Template

Duration - 9 months Location – Tokyo, Japan [initially remote] Languages – Japanese fluency & conversational English Role: Senior SAP FI Consultant [Japan Localization] Job Description: Client plans to integrate two (2) Japanese companies into the parent central SAP instance using the SAP global template approach. Job Requirements: • The position requires in depth knowledge of Japan localization and statutory requirements and integration support services to tailor the client SAP global template. • The position requires hands-on functional experience in SAP system configuration in the financial modules and a strong understanding of Finance and Accounting principles. • He/she will be accountable for all phases of project life cycle management within the Global Template Roll-out, as assigned, that includes the development of business requirements; blueprint design; perform system configuration to specifications; execute QA testing and production go-live. • He/she will have the necessary skills to work with cross departmental teams to develop complex requirements and participation with process integration while maintaining systems integrity. • Additionally, position has responsibility to provide clear and timely communication with both IT Management and Business Stakeholders on ongoing projects and day-to-day support. • The position will be required to work on-site at the client’s Japan (Tokyo) office as requested. Scope of Services / Deliverables: The following functionality is in-scope for client enabled by the SAP global template: • G/L accounting • Accounts receivable • Banking (EBS and/or automated payments) • Accounts payable / Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) with imaging • VAT / Withholding tax and reporting • Asset Accounting • Lease Management • Cost Center Accounting - SRM / Purchasing • Revenue Interface Development / Mapping • Miscellaneous SD Billing • Reporting & Correspondence • Local language, as required Customer Situation: Customer offices are closed at this time and will reopen based on Japan government timelines and safety guidelines. Initially, the work is remote, but the resource needs to be available, if needed, to go to the office.
