I am looking for a programmer to help me out with the car physics for a top down racing game that needs to have similar physics to Reckless Racing 2.
I am currently using UnityCar with Unity3D and would require up to 6 cars on screen at once with the oldest device supported being an iPhone 3GS. I have also experimented with a Raycast car physics model which was giving some good initial results.
It is important that this can be controlled easily via keyboard (or touch controls). If you have played Reckless Racing 2 (please watch [url removed, login to view] from 2 minutes in for the physics on gravel surfaces) the cars are oversteering nicely with minimal inputs. It is very difficult to spin the car which makes it easily and fun to play.
The options are therefore to provide me with settings and/or scripts to extend UnityCar to behave similar to Reckless Racing 2, or provide a different car physics model that also meets these requirements.
