Senior Windows Desktop Application Developer

VC funded start-up business based in Reading, Berkshire, UK is seeking to recruit a Senior Windows Desktop Application Developer to help consolidate, extend and improve the capability of an existing international team of developers as their first B2C products emerge from Beta to market.

This role will allow the successful applicant to help define the future day to day operations at this early stage of the business, enabling them to become an established, valued team member. The role will predominantly be that of development, working alongside the desktop technical lead, with wider input to:

Improving working practice, methods and standards.

Improving tools and operational efficiency.

Essential demonstrable requirements:

Excellent Degree from a recognised Software Engineering course.

+7years Desktop Application experience in a professional software house.

+4years C#.NET, Winforms, User Controls.

User Interface and Usability specialist.

XML, HTTPS Web Service I/O.

MS Certified Application Developer - C# Win Apps, Web Service I/O.

RAD and UI product definition prototyping experience.

Ideal additional experience:


Infragistics Windows .NET UI toolkit.

Dynamic Windows Themes.

Structured Testing.

Graphics Tools.


Location: Working onsite at Regus, Green Park, 200 Brook Drive, Reading, Berkshire, UK

Working hours: full time (Mon-Fri based on 7-8 hour days)

Minimum contract duration: 6 months

Service fee: negotiable, however excellent rates will be given to the right person

Start date: ASAP
