453507 Google Duplicate Meta error

Hello, We are currently are experiencing errors with our google webmaster tools in the HTML Suggestions. Google is reporting that we have Duplicate title tags and Duplicate meta descriptions issues. The site currently has a www to non www redirect setup up that Google is reading as identical pages. We fixed the .htaccess file a few days ago to make sure the redirects from www to non www where working properly however Google continues to display the same errors as of Nov 1. We are not sure if we simply need to give it more time for Google to update all errors or if we need to implement another fix asap. We would like to fix this issue asap.
