Senior Women’s Wear Tailor

A new women’s‐wear boutique is about to open, and the entire first collection has to be cut, stitched, finished, and fitted to exacting boutique standards. This assignment covers full-cycle tailoring for premium fabrics, working side-by-side with the in-house designer from pattern drafting through final press. Pay is a fixed monthly salary, topped up with an incentive on each completed piece and a profit-based bonus once the line hits the shop floor. Scope of work • Garment focus: Women’s clothing only • Key categories to produce: – Dresses and gowns (core line) – Blouses and kurtas for our day-wear capsule – Ongoing alterations and fit corrections for VIP clients Experience required A senior-level tailor with 6+ years on the cutting table, confident with both couture finishing and rapid-turnaround production. Mastery of hand and industrial machines, plus a solid eye for fit and drape, is essential. Acceptance criteria 1. Each piece must match the approved pattern and design spec. 2. Internal seams, hems and finishes must pass boutique quality inspection. 3. Fittings should require no more than one minor adjustment round. Collaboration runs on clear daily communication, and all final garments become boutique property on delivery.
