My Shopify store intentionally keeps product prices behind a login wall, yet Google is still displaying those prices in its search results. On-site visibility is correct, but the price data that Google pulls—most likely from JSON-LD or other theme markup—must be removed or shown only when the visitor is logged in. The restriction is needed exclusively for search results and it should apply to everyone except registered users. I’m not sure whether a third-party app or custom Liquid has introduced this leak, so the first step will be a quick audit of theme files, snippets, JSON-LD scripts, and any installed apps that inject schema. Deliverables: • Identify the code or app exposing product prices to crawlers. • Adjust theme, Liquid, or app settings so price fields and structured-data markup render only for logged-in customers. • Confirm via Google Rich Results Test and a manual site: search that prices are no longer visible to guests or search engines. • Supply a concise change log so I can maintain the fix after theme updates. Liquid, JSON-LD, metafields, robots meta tags, and Google Search Console expertise are essential. Once complete, guests should see no price anywhere Google can index, while logged-in customers continue to see accurate pricing.
