Job Description:
We sell beachwear.
When a beachwear product have two pieces ( TOP and BOTTOM) we want to sell it together. in other words, costumer is not allowed to buy just the top, or just the bottom. Costumer have to buy the two items together.
So we need (in backend) to deal with two differente SKUS
(example:
20-001TOP-S (sku for the top)
20-002BOT-M (sku for the bottom)
it is very importante in terms of inventory/warehouse organization.
And we cannot do that creating variants (by default in shopify). because variants will let sell just one SKU.
In our actuall website (MAGENTO based) you can see whats happen.

IN Short:
1-when in catalogue: show one picture and product name (product father).
2-when in product page: show the product name (product father), but client chosse two variables (size for the top) and (size for the bottom)
3-when in cart: client see just one unit (bikini set)
4-when in checkout: client see the product father or the two childs (irrelevant). just have to know wich sizes she choosed for the top and bottom
5-when in backend (platform): the ordem most contain two differente products (in other words, two different skus) : one sku for the bottom and one sku for the top.
