Neo-Hookean is suitable as a starting hyperelastic material model for snap-through structure, especially if we are using a TPU/rubber-like material and the strain level is not extremely high. start with Neo-Hookean for the baseline ANSYS model because it is simple, stable, and easy to calibrate. Then, if my experimental TPU data shows large nonlinear deformation that Neo-Hookean cannot match well, compare it with Mooney–Rivlin or Ogden. For snap-through analysis, the important point is that the material model must handle large strain + large deformation. Neo-Hookean does this much better than a simple linear elastic model. but “A Neo-Hookean hyperelastic material model was initially selected to represent the nonlinear elastic behaviour of the TPU structure under large deformation. The model provides a simple and computationally efficient description suitable for preliminary snap-through analysis. More advanced hyperelastic models, such as Mooney–Rivlin or Ogden, may be considered if greater agreement with experimental material behaviour is required.” One important limitation: Neo-Hookean alone will not realistically model hysteresis/true energy dissipation. It mainly gives recoverable elastic behaviour. If our final goal is specifically energy dissipation, we eventually need experimental hysteresis data and possibly a visco-hyperelastic or similar dissipative model. For first proving snap-through, though, Neo-Hookean is a very reasonable choice. so lets discuss little bit in your free time brother, i am also not expert in this field,TPU95A material is usedAs per our last discussion below task has to be performed: With Material TPU95A 1) with 1.5mm thickness 2) 2mm thickness 3) 2.5mm thickness 4) 3mm thickness 5) 3.5mm thickness 6) 4mm thickness Total 6 iteration high nonlinearity (hyperelastic) desin already done just need ANSYS part simulation

Hi there, Your TPU95A snap-through structure is a strong match for my FEA experience, particularly nonlinear large-deformation analysis in ANSYS. I can perform the complete simulation for all 6 thickness iterations: 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 and 4 mm, using an appropriate hyperelastic material model and nonlinear solution settings to accurately capture the snap-through response. I’ll provide force–displacement response, deformation/stress/strain results, convergence assessment, and a clear comparison of all six configurations. If experimental TPU data is available, I can also assess whether Neo-Hookean, Mooney-Rivlin or Ogden provides the best correlation. Since the designs are already completed, I can focus directly on the ANSYS simulation and engineering interpretation. Timeline and budget can be finalized after discussing the complete scope. Do you have TPU95A experimental stress–strain data, or should the material model be defined from standard TPU95A properties? Best regards, Arati

I can handle the ANSYS simulation of your TPU95A snap-through structure for all six thickness iterations (1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, and 4 mm). I have experience with nonlinear material modelling and large-deformation simulations and can set up the appropriate hyperelastic material model, nonlinear contacts/constraints, and snap-through analysis. I can start with a Neo-Hookean model as the baseline and provide quantitative comparison of the results across all six designs. If required, I can also assess whether a Mooney–Rivlin or Ogden model provides better agreement with your experimental TPU data. Since the designs are already completed, I will focus specifically on the ANSYS simulation, results extraction, and technical analysis.

Hello, I understand you're looking for someone to develop a hyperelastic material model using the Neo-Hookean approach for a snap-through structure analysis with a TPU95A material. Your goal is to ensure that the model can accommodate large strains and deformations while providing insights on the nonlinear elastic behavior of the material. I propose to expertly handle the ANSYS simulations based on your specified thickness iterations, from 1.5mm to 4mm. With my experience in hyperelastic modeling, I will ensure that the Neo-Hookean model serves as a solid foundation for your analysis. Should the experimental data reveal significant nonlinearity that requires adjustment, I can seamlessly transition to more advanced models like Mooney–Rivlin or Ogden. Furthermore, I will monitor the results for any potential hysteresis effects, ensuring that we have a comprehensive understanding of the material's energy dissipation characteristics. What specific outcomes are you hoping to achieve from these simulations? https://www.freelancer.com/u/proggon Best regards, Wahaj Barlas.

With my combined expertise in civil and mechanical engineering, I bring a unique perspective to your project that understands the dynamic mechanisms of your structure while ensuring its structural integrity. My proficiency with ANSYS and Mechanical Engineering puts me in prime position to model and simulate the behavior of your TPU95A material under large strain and deformation, using Neo-Hookean as a baseline. Moreover, I am well-acquainted with the limitations of Neo-Hookean and its inability to model hysteresis or true energy dissipation realistically. With your project's goal being snap-through analysis, wherein energy dissipation is not of immediate concern, I believe Neo-Hookean offers an efficient and effective starting point for this preliminary phase. However, it's important we remain open to advanced hyperelastic models like Mooney-Rivlin or Ogden if experimental data demands it. I'm confident my skills in ANSYS analysis, paired with a dedication to mathematical accuracy and safety, make me an ideal fit for your project. Together, we can conduct comprehensive simulations at each thickness iteration you've outlined - 1.5mm to 4mm - enabling us to confidently assess the performance of your hyperelastic design under high nonlinearity. Let's move forward towards a successful project completion that leverages the best possible tools for accurate analysis.
