Using Plecs, design a pwm scheme for a 3-phase pwm VSI drive (only need a dc supply voltage and no 3 phase input rectifier) that operates the inverter with an open loop constant V/Hz controller that delivers full rated voltage to the motor at 60 Hz and zero voltage at 0 Hz. The inverter output voltage should change from a square fundamental at 60Hz to a third harmonic square wave pattern as the frequency approaches zero. Use the motor parameters
Two tasks are requested:
(1) for 60, 40, and 20 Hz supply frequencies, change the motor torque from rated down to 10% rated in 10% steps. In steady-state, obtain performance curves as a function of the per-unit torque for: Pout, Pin, Ploss, slip, sNs as well as Irms, I1, Ih, THDf, THDr, PF, CDF and DPF.
(2) for 60, 40, and 20 Hz supply frequencies, obtained the motor torque and fundamental current as a function of the motor shaft speed.
You will need to learn how to run Plecs and construct scripting files to obtain the performance factors specified.
