The first stage of the project involved creating an employee flash card report. The report tracks the performance of an employee working for a metal parts manufacturing company. The two items tracked are:
1) TAKT Time Average - how fast the employee performed their assigned operations
2) Quality Average - how many rejected parts versus good parts were made
The report includes rolling averages for the past 12 months for both the employee in question and the rest of the company for comparison purposes. A PDF with such a report is attached. The existing report is built using
This project involves a second stage, where the reporting data needs to be filtered and aggregated.
Data aggregation is to be done by:
(a) name(s) (drop down multiselect)
(b) department(s) (drop down multiselect)
(c) shift(s) (drop down multiselect)
Data filtering needs to be done by:
(a) part number (text search allowing wildcards)
(b) work order number (text search allowing wildcards)
(c) operation number (text search allowing wildcards)
The current database contains the list of employees, but without specific relationships between them - which shift, which department. A table indicating the relationship will have to be created in the database, with a corresponding IIS web form to allow the user to quickly "build" the relationships (see attached diagram in excel).
Technical notes: SQL 2012 Standard server, report built in Visual Studio 2010 shell using reporting services, and currently housed by SSRS.
