Hi, with an equipment interface the whole job depends on how the device talks. Serial, USB, TCP, Modbus, or a vendor SDK DLL each lead to a very different build. I've done this kind of work before. I built a fingerprint attendance app in C# that talks to ZKTeco terminals through the vendor's COM SDK. It captures each punch live as it happens, instead of polling the device for logs later. For the screens I'd use C# and WPF. It's a stand-alone exe, with the device code kept apart from the UI so a lost connection never freezes the app. More of my Windows desktop work is at ntclipboard.com. How I'd approach it: 1. Read the device docs or SDK and prove a connection first 2. Build the screens and the device logic around it 3. Test on the real equipment and hand over the installer One day for a first working version that talks to your device.
