I am a purchase manager in a car dealership in the US. My job is to buy below market price so we can then sell to a fair market price to our customers.
Sometimes, customers want something very specific, such as a 2006 Audi A8, so if I don't have it, I can look online in [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view] and if I find something really cheap I can buy it and resell it. For this kind of cases, it is very easy, since I look on ebay and [url removed, login to view] for Audi A8, year 2003, I sort by lower prices first, and if the first one or second one are in good shape, and pretty cheap, I will buy it and then offer it to our customer.
The problem is when they are like "I want either a BMW, Mercedez or Audi, not older than 2003, any model as soon as it looks good". In that case, between eBay and [url removed, login to view], the search for BMW, Audi and Mercedez, all the different models of each make, from 2003 until 2007 will throw around 18,000 results. And not only it takes a lot of time to go through all of them, but also I can't sort them by price anymore, because comparing, for example, a 2007 Audi S4 with a 2003 BMW 325 is like comparing oranges with apples. What I need is a software that compares the 2007 Audi S4 price that some guy is selling online on [url removed, login to view] or [url removed, login to view] with the Kelley Blue Book value for that car. Probably is necessary to download the KBB database to the hard disk first, but maybe not.
So, if you know how to do this get in touch and we can start working as soon as possible.
