We have purchased a 60Kw inverter and 200 - 310W 60 cell panels. We are thinking of a galvanized pipe ground mount system with rails. (Unirac or Iron Ridge make suitable rails or you may have some other ideas)
I am attaching the Sumter Co. Property appraiser's website that will give you an overview of the parcel and you can see from the google satellite view the lay out of the site. The site is about 3.2 acres and serves as a sewage treatment plant and drain field. We believe there is enough room along the west side of the drainage pond to locate 5 racks of 40 panels in double portrait arrangement of 20 panels wide. We will need cut back some of the tree growth on the west and south sides of the parcel. We were thinking of either helical piers or concrete anchored galvanized pipe posts as the anchoring mechanism, but would like to hear your thoughts on the matter.
If this works out, we plan to add an additional 5 racks of panels and double the size of the project.
This is the specific equipment we acquired.
