The fix is simple to say and hard to do, which is to let the script drive. Every bold visual choice has to land on a line of the voice-over or a beat of the music, so the flair reads as storytelling rather than decoration. I would build the edit from the script first, sound second, and picture to those two. Custom animations for the key messages designed as a small family, one visual language used throughout, so they reinforce rather than compete. Voice-over is the open question: if you have a recorded track, I cut to it; if not, a scratch track for the first cut so timing is right, and we discuss the final voice separately, as you suggested. Sound design and grade to your brand references.
