I need someone expert in MSSQL server 2005 to help me register a loca server in a new install of 2005 enterprise. An instance of 2008 was previousely installed on the machine and was working fine. When we removed 2008 and installed 2005, we cannot register the same server name.
I need someone to resolve this issue by:
Registering the server (database engine) name I want: "Deltek"
making sure we can create a new databse under the new registered server and can restore a database.
