Hi, I saw your requirement for an interface between the SecuGen HU20 and Wonderware InTouch. It makes sense to use a SQL bridge since InTouch struggles to talk directly to USB biometric hardware. I can build the Windows service you need to handle the fingerprint capture and template matching in the background. My plan is to use the SecuGen SDK to manage the scanner and push the authentication results into a clean SQL table. This way, your HMI can simply poll the database for the username and access level without needing to manage the biometric local drivers. I'll make sure the database schema includes all the fields for event logging and station names so your audit trails stay intact. We will also need to focus on proper error handling so operators aren't left hanging if a scan fails or the USB disconnects. Want a 2-min screen recording of how I'd build the biometric SQL handshake? Just say the word. ~ Rajesh

Hi, You need fingerprint auth integrated into your SCADA system using the SecuGen HU20 scanner. Got it. Quick question: are you building the Wonder interface from scratch, or integrating with existing SCADA software? We've built similar hardware-to-software integrations. C, C#, SQL — we handle the full stack. Message me to discuss the technical approach. Best Regards, Hasan

Hi there, I will build the Windows service that bridges the SecuGen HU20 to Wonderware InTouch — fingerprint enrollment, verification, and SQL-based authentication handoff. I will structure the login event table so InTouch polls a single view for username, access level, and status — no direct USB communication needed from the HMI side. Questions: 1) Which SQL Server version is running alongside InTouch? 2) How many operators need enrollment initially? This bid is an initial estimate — I will confirm the final cost and timeline once we have walked through the complete requirements together. Looking forward to your response. Best regards, Kamran

Hello Graphical Controls, The real challenge here isn’t just reading a fingerprint, it’s making biometric authentication dependable inside a SCADA workflow where failed logins, device disconnects, and unclear operator status can create operational friction. I can build a Windows-based C#/.NET service that integrates the SecuGen HU20 via SDK, handles enrollment/verification, securely stores templates in SQL Server, and writes clean authentication/event data for Wonderware InTouch to poll reliably. I’ve built database-driven Windows applications, API/integration layers, and secure operator-facing tools where auditability and stability matter. For your setup, I’d structure enrollment, access levels, event logging, and status/error messaging so InTouch can detect successful logins, failed attempts, timeouts, and current operator context without talking directly to the scanner. I’ve shared an initial estimate based on your description, and once we go over a few technical or functional details, I’ll confirm the exact cost and delivery schedule. I’d suggest 12 days for the application, SQL scripts, admin screen, documentation, and integration notes. Do you want the system optimized for fast 1:N identification across all enrolled operators, or should authentication be tied to a preselected username for stricter 1:1 verification? A few points I’d like to confirm: - Will fingerprint matching be 1:1 verification against a selected user, or 1:N identification across all enrolled opera

Hi I can develop the Windows-based fingerprint authentication interface between the SecuGen HU20 Hamster Pro 20 scanner and Wonderware InTouch using a clean SQL-based integration layer. The main technical challenge is keeping biometric capture, enrollment, template storage, verification, SQL event logging, and InTouch polling reliable without requiring InTouch to communicate directly with the USB scanner. I can build a C#/.NET desktop application or Windows service that uses the SecuGen SDK, manages operator enrollment, securely stores fingerprint templates, and writes authentication results into SQL Server tables. The SQL structure can include user enrollment, access levels, fingerprint template references, workstation details, login events, authentication status, timestamps, and error messages. I can also provide the required SQL query logic or tag mapping notes so Wonderware InTouch can read the authenticated user, access level, login status, and failed authentication states. The final package will include source code, compiled executable/service, SQL scripts, installation/configuration guide, enrollment instructions, InTouch integration notes, troubleshooting steps, and testing support. Thanks, Hercules

I've worked extensively with SecuGen SDKs and Wonderware InTouch integrations in industrial environments, so I understand exactly what you need — a reliable bridge between biometric authentication and your SCADA HMI for operator identification and access control. My approach involves building a lightweight Windows service using the SecuGen FDx SDK Pro for fingerprint capture and template matching, with enrollment and verification modules writing authentication results (username, access level, timestamp, status) to a SQL Server table that InTouch reads via a SQL query or ODBC connection. I've handled similar SCADA-to-database middleware projects before and can start immediately. I'll also ensure secure template storage and clean event logging so your audit trail is rock-solid.

I can help you bridge the gap between the SecuGen hardware and Wonderware InTouch by developing a C# .NET background service. My approach focuses on decoupling the biometric processing from the HMI to ensure SCADA stability. I will implement the SecuGen SDK within a standalone Windows service that handles the heavy lifting: biometric capture, template matching, and SQL synchronization. By using a "Handshake" table in SQL Server, the service will update real-time authentication tags that InTouch can monitor via standard SQLAccess functions or BindList. This eliminates the need for complex scripting within InTouch itself. The solution will include a dedicated enrollment utility to securely hash and store templates, and a clean SQL schema designed for high-speed polling. I will provide the specific SQL triggers and query logic needed for InTouch to instantly react to scan events, ensuring seamless operator identification and automated event logging.

You need a Windows service that bridges the SecuGen HU20 scanner with Wonderware InTouch via SQL, handling enrollment, verification, and event logging without direct USB exposure to the SCADA system. - I’ll build the interface in C# using the SecuGen SDK, wrapping scanner interactions in a Windows service for background operation. The service will expose a local TCP endpoint for admin tasks (enrollment, testing) and log all events to SQL with the required fields (user, access level, timestamp, station, status). - Database design will include three core tables: Users (enrollment data + access levels), FingerprintTemplates (encrypted biometric hashes), and AuthEvents (login history with error codes). I’ll provide SQL scripts for schema creation and sample queries for InTouch to poll authentication status. - The deliverables will include the service executable, source code, a simple WinForms admin panel for enrollment/troubleshooting, and documentation covering installation, ODBC setup for InTouch, and error-handling workflows (e.g., scanner disconnection, failed matches). I’ll deliver the fully tested system in 7 days for $650, covering the scope as written; we’ll refine the figure once we walk through the missing details like SQL Server version compatibility and any custom access-level logic. Let’s schedule a 15-minute call to align on those points.

Hello there, We will build the Windows service that connects the SecuGen HU20 to Wonderware InTouch through SQL Server: enrollment, verification, and event logging. For the InTouch side, we will structure the SQL login event table so InTouch polls a single view. That keeps tag binding simple and avoids direct USB communication from the HMI. A couple of quick things to confirm: 1) Which SQL Server version is running on your InTouch stations? 2) Do you need multi-station support or a single workstation deployment? The number quoted here is a starting estimate. The exact cost and timeline will be confirmed after we go through the full scope together. Looking forward to your response. Best regards, Faizan
