since i have more than 15 years experience with SQL server from SQL 2000 to SQL 2014 , and since your database is huge , it depends on database structure if we split it to master databases and childs or we use file-groups. regards

I have 10 years experience working at Microsoft as a Support Escalation Engineer, mainly focused on SQL Server performance. I have also spent the last 3 years working with SSIS, developing and troubleshooting SSIS packages. 750GB is not really a large database so the problem most likely lies in either the indexes, stored procedures, or the data flow of the package itself.
