Wirestorm Innovations (WI) is in the business of providing enterprise level work-flow management solutions. The main area of focus is in the customer interaction domain. WI solutions enable businesses and government entities a streamlined user experience for interactions between customers and employees in relation to their business workflow. WI would like to expand its offering by integrating their web product with their customer’s Cisco IP phone network to provide another avenue of customer interaction. This request for a proposal is targeted at an integration solution to enable WI’s .Net server application to communicate with and initiate commands on the customer’s existing Cisco IP phone network. 1. Initiate an external call to a destination phone number (provided by the WI application). a. This number may be local or long distance b. As the external call is sent out, the local IP phone must ring for the internal user to pick up. 2. Abort (hang up) a current call. a. This allows the WI product to “control?? the phone by allowing the internal user to hang up from the WI web product. 3. Detect when a call is terminated a. Once a call has been initiated via the product, there must be a mechanism to detect when this call has been terminated 4. The API must be compatible with the .Net environment and provide a Managed .Net API for interaction. 5. Any configuration changes must be possible via dynamic parameterization or a standardized configuration file (no static or hard coded settings). 6. The integration component must be built using valid software engineering practices and must be able to deal with exception cases without system failure.
