Our company is ARIYA Athletic Apparel based out out Lake Tahoe, CA. We are a start-up brand that has been selling logo T-shirts, long-sleeves, and hoodies for the past few months and have grown a strong following locally - this is without a website. The hype we have created in our local community leads us to believe that we are almost ready to launch a successful Kickstarter campaign.
The goal of ARIYA is to produce sustainable technical and street apparel for the skate, snow, surf, and wakeboard industries. We strive to be as close to 100% sustainable as possible. Our website is hosted on 300% green servers - Greengeeks. We use materials such as rPet, bamboo, organic cotton, hemp, LYCRA, Tencel, and neogreene. We plan on heavily investing in R&D of new more sustainable materials. Even our shipping supports a green mantra by purchasing carbon offsets. We do everything that is currently at our disposal to be a Eco-conscious as possible.
While we hold sustainability as a pillar of our business model, we don't want our apparel to ever bodly imply that it is sustainable. Customers and fans will know that they are getting a sustainable product by brand knowledge, word-of-mouth, marketing, or labeling. We strive to appeal toward every audience in our market; not just the liberal tree-huggers like ourselves. Our apparel will be as fashionable and functional as our top carbon intensive competitors. We don't believe sustainability should be a choice, it should be a necessity. We plan to create a brand that shows that being sustainable doesn't mean you have to compromise style.
