Electrical Design Engineer for Transformer Manufacturing

Title: Transformer Design Engineer Needed – Oil Filled Distribution & Solar Transformers Description: We are setting up a transformer manufacturing unit in Vadodara, India and are looking for an experienced electrical design engineer with expertise in oil-filled power/distribution transformers. This is initially a freelance/consulting role to help us develop transformer designs and technical documentation for manufacturing. Scope of Work: • Design of oil-filled distribution transformers (25 kVA – 100 kVA, 11kV / 433V) • Design of solar inverter duty step-up transformers (250 kVA – 500 kVA, 415V / 690V to 11kV) • Preparation of transformer design calculations (core size, winding design, impedance, losses etc.) • Preparation of GA drawings and winding drawings • Technical guidance for prototype manufacturing • Assistance with testing procedures (routine tests) Requirements: • Proven experience designing oil-filled transformers • Familiar with standards such as IS 1180, IS 2026, or IEC 60076 • Experience with solar inverter duty transformers is a plus • Ability to provide calculation sheets and design documentation Deliverables: • Complete design calculation sheet • Core and winding specifications • General Arrangement (GA) drawings • Material specification/BOM • Guidance during prototype build Project Type: Freelance / Consulting (remote collaboration possible) Engineers with practical transformer design experience are encouraged to apply.
