Taking the files from the 3D Render Designer made in Maya and need to
- prepare files for 3d printing
- prepare files for mold making
These are the parts.
- MAIN DEVICE
- SILICONE PART
- CAP FOR MAIN DEVICE
- HEAD SET
- REMOTE CONTROLLER
- DESK MOUNT
I will provide you with my tinkerCAD screenshots and reference points on a lot of the mentioned below.
- Main Device
-- clean up device, make all surface smooth and all outer housing parts flush
-- the top window/door needs to add a latch and feet at end so can be functional in terms of clipping in, easily removing it, but still flush with the outer housing. Doesn't stick out.
-- the rear, battery cover, same thing, add latch and feet on cover so can be functional
-- inside plastic piece holding the pcb, battery and motor. Needs be designed from scratch, so can universally fit the 4 different motors. I will provide you the motor specs so you know how to position them centered.
-- adjust the poles and receiving holes on each side because the front entry part has two rectangle slits/holes/empty spacing...
-- add clips to ensure the top and bottom housing snaps together.
-- add columns on each end, so we can screw the end plastic + rear plastic to ensure the unit holds together strongly
-- the read lining is suppose to be a separate piece of plastic that snaps on. More less an designer piece so the product doesn't look boring.
- Silicone sleeve
-- need redesign to make the silicone thicker in radius + adjust the plastic all-around it according to the size you make it to. For example, now it is, I think, 40cm...I'd like it to be 50cm overall radius with maybe to inner hole sizes (one 15cm and another 30cm)
- Cap cover
-- to ensure it will snap on and off which can do so easily 1000+ times without losing it's firmness
- VR Headset
-- design all parts so they fit, can be assembled nicely
---will provide detailed images of a competitor headset taken apart, piece by piece
-- need to have a cable brought from front to each side. Purpose is so we can make a Y shape cable that will connect to a "adapter" on each side the ear. So our consumers can plug in earbuds. But then on front, where user places their mobile phone, can plug in the cable into their phone.
- Remote Controller
-- must have toggle
-- must have 4 buttons on top, behind toggle. Top right is beveled in, every other button to have a small bump, beveled out.
-- must have 2 buttons in front, by the front end. The bottom button is curved like towards your finger. The top button just arched (semi rounded) button.

- Desk Mount
-- this will connect with two suction cup parts.
-- needs to be designed so there is a top piece and a bottom piece.
-- top piece has 4 columns. bottom piece has 4 holes. They will be assembled through the use of screws.
-- the top piece, front part, will connect to the base of the main device through sliding in.
----need to design with perspective to sizing of the main device fittings, so can easily sliding in and out, but not loose and not too tight...
