Hi Hersh,
I'd like to help you with your project. To give you a little guidance on how I would structure a bid for you, I base my bids on the number of audio hours you would have and charge by the audio minute. I typically charge .80US (80 cents) per audio minute. I'm completely flexible in my bidding; I've only placed the bid I have in order to be able to submit a bid. It's completely negotiable based on the number of minutes you have to be transcribed.
Using that criteria, you would always know what the cost to you would be. If this is an ongoing project, and you would have additional lectures in the future, you would be able to budget accordingly, or you might decide you only want portions of your lectures transcribed. I'd also be willing to work with you for as many classes and over as many semesters as you require.
I'm an experienced transcriptionist, living in the US and an American English speaking individual. I living Kentucky, Eastern Time, so chances are very great I'd be working and available to you at convenient times.
Please let me know if you have any questions. My only question to you is how you've recorded the lectures and in what format you'd send them to me. I have software that handles pretty much any type of audio file.
Carol
