Your tasks in this project will be to translate Swedish words, in an already existing Swedish dictionary, to Norwegian. Many Swedish words have the exact same meaning in Norwegian and it will therefore be relatively easy to just change the Swedish word so that the Norwegian word correspond to the translation.
Native Norwegian is required with preferable good Swedish skills. Although, as this is a quite easy job that don't require high skilled translation of grammatical sentences, I don't see it as a must with long translation experience. But of course, basic grammatical skills are fundamental.
The job will be a contribution to the development of an important and fast growing Web page witch is offering instant on-line translation.
You will be provided with an excel file where you will find the words to translate. The document is divided into various columns starting with Swe_Keywords, Nor_Keyword, NorEng_ID, NorEng_Bed 1, NorEng_Bed 2, etc... Your job will be to translate the Swedish word in Swe_keywords to the most exact and corresponding Norwegian word in the cell to the right (Nor_Keyword).
It is important to try to find the corresponding word in Norwegian starting with the same letter as the Swedish word, this because we don't want duplicates. When translating e.g. words starting with K we try to stick to K.
You are not going to translate anything other than the above mentioned. Your work will be between column 1 and 2.
It it is important that the Norwegian words also starts with the same letters as the swedish words (If the word is pronounced totally different, and only in this way, it sure is ok but this will happen in few occasions). As you sure understand; if the word is translated to a similar word not starting with the same letter, this word might crash with another word.
Mark the entire line green if OK, if you don't find translation by any reason mark the entire line orange, and if the word doesn't exist in Norwegian the entire line can be marked red. Although I expect more or less 95% of the lines to be marked green! :)
