LM Data Center Technician (Gig / Independent Contractor) Project Title: Urgent FLM Data Center Technician – On-Demand Gigs (Arcata, CA) Overview: Hype Telecom, LLC is seeking experienced independent contractors to provide on-site FLM support in data centers in the Arcata, CA area. This is a gig-based opportunity with immediate ticket availability for technicians ready to support hardware replacements, troubleshooting, and installations in live environments. Scope of Work: Replace FRUs and perform basic hardware troubleshooting Install/de-install equipment and manage cabling (power & network) Run diagnostics and validate hardware/software Capture pre/post-work photos and document activities Requirements: Minimum 2 years experience in data center or field service Knowledge of networking, fiber/copper cabling, and safety procedures Ability to respond to urgent tickets within 4 hours Own tools, PPE, laptop, and transportation Engagement Model: 1099 Independent Contractor On-demand work, no guaranteed hours Compensation: $30/hour, paid per approved hours per ticket Weekly invoicing; payment within 7 days of approval Location: Arcata, CA (local travel required)
