Virtual Reality Unity project - Virtual Drums

I need an experienced Unity 3D C# coder to realize this virtual drumming application. I myself am only 3 months into Unity and focused only on the graphics so far. Having experiences in graphics and 3D I was able to put together a decent scene with a drum set. The application is going to be PC-only. It is not going to be a game where you have to achieve things, but a simulator or tool/instrument. All graphics, 3D models, lighting settings and audio files are finished and will be provided. However, the audio is going to be played by an external host program which is developed by me together with an audio expert partner, so you don't have to worry about audio. The only challenge in that regard is that the VR app has to send MIDI data to our host application on every drum hit. For implementing MIDI functionality, we bought the asset called "MIDI Unified" from the Unity asset store. Acording to the developer of this asset, MIDI Output as we need it is possible to do. But due to the lack of our Unity experience, we don't know how to get that to work with this asset. In addition to the MIDI Output functionality, a floating menu on a virtual tablet screen with several graphic settings and other settings regarding positioning of the drum elements and saving and loading custom drum setups will be part of the app. Details about that will be discussed in chat. There are many other features which have to be implemented, which are hard to describe all in this job description. That is why the job is set to charge per hour. However, once we discussed all necessary features personally, the job can be switched to fixed price. Only in case you prefer that. It is not a critical requirement to have worked with MIDI before. But if you happen to have any kind of experience with MIDI i.e. audio production, please mention it in your proposal. Also, please add information about which VR headset models you currently have access to. Thanks.
