I am struggling to complete this project so I'm asking for an experienced programmer for help.
The project outline is:
Raspberry Pi3B, camera module, 120 GB solid state drive (no SD card is used), latest raspian (2017/09/07 stretch) is loaded and running well from the SSD.
Sure, I can take still images, schedule with crontab, and once a week or month I take the images to a PC and comvert them to an avi video using Video Pad or Windows Movie Maker.
The Pi is taking a still once every 10 minutes for 16 hours a day and is idle the rest of the time.
I want to automate the process.
I need the script and instructions to:
At the end of each day, convert the pictures to an avi or mp4 video and then delete the old stills. Each of the daily videos needs to have a day stamp in the file name so they can be compiled together in the correct order.
I haven't used avconv yet so that may be an option?
Some basic instructions were found here: [login to view URL]
but it does not quite meet my automation needs.
I ama raspberry pi expert and have done similar projects before i cn make it for you. I can start immediately.
Stay tuned, I'm still working on this proposal.
