I’m looking to hand over the day-to-day bookkeeping for my Australian modular building business to an experienced virtual bookkeeper who works comfortably in Xero. We will need to work together to establish initial set up and ensure compliance with Australian systems. It will be cloud-based, so you’ll be able to plug straight into our existing account, categorise transactions, reconcile the bank feed, and keep the ledger tidy without ever setting foot on site. Scope of work • Weekly coding of bank, credit-card feeds • End-of-month bank and loan reconciliations • Quarterly GST / sales-tax review so returns are ready for my accountant • Generation of accurate monthly management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash-Flow) • Year-end file that lets the tax accountant finish compliance with minimal adjustments Acceptance criteria • All Xero reconciliations show a green tick by the 5th business day of each month • Management reports balance and match source documents • Any uncoded or unclear transactions are flagged in a shared sheet or Xero notes within 48 hours The bulk of our income flows from progressive construction invoices, so familiarity with project-tracking or job-costing inside Xero is a plus. If you also know QuickBooks or Zoho Books, that flexibility could help should we ever migrate, but Xero expertise is what matters right now.
