Hey there. Which mail stack is on your VPS right now, Postfix and Dovecot, or a control panel mail service like Exim? Also do you want to send newsletters from this same server or only normal business email? Does your domain DNS currently point MX to the VPS, and do you have reverse DNS PTR set at HostPapa for the server IP? I have set up VPS mail many times for Outlook and phones with IMAP over SSL and solid deliverability. The usual reason an account exists but does not work is wrong MX records, ports blocked by firewall, wrong SSL cert for the mail hostname, or Postfix and Dovecot not aligned on auth and mailbox paths. I can log in by SSH, verify Postfix Dovecot SSL IMAP and SMTP submission ports, issue a proper TLS cert, and confirm Outlook settings. Then I will set SPF DKIM and DMARC in NameBright DNS and check that HostPapa sets PTR reverse DNS to match your mail hostname. I will also run live tests to confirm you can send and receive and that messages land in inbox not spam.
