I require a [url removed, login to view] function that will do the following:
(This function is designed to be integrated into my [url removed, login to view] program and called by it, so no user interaction is wanted for this)
1: Load a TAB seperated CSV file.
2: My program would tell the function what columns within the CSV file are KEY (this can vary from file to file, max 10).
3: The program would go through all the lines, looking for lines that are identical based on the KEY fields.
4: Any identical lines are consolidated where the data is numeric (otherwise (text) data from last line is used)
5: The file is then resaved replacing the original
The effect then should be that the original file is replaced by a smaller file where all the identical lines (based on the Key columns) are consolidated. Any non identical lines are unchanged.
