Secure Uploader

Visual Basic drag-and-drop interface meant to reside on the users© Windows 98/ME/2000/NT/XP desktop and transfer audio files with 128 bit encryption. Files need to be tagged with a time/date/ISP stamp and sent to a secure mail account on our FreeBSD [url removed, login to view] / Apache SSL server.

Ideally a user would log-in to their secure account on our website. They would download a customized version of this interface and install it. The installation would create a customizable windows icon. Users could then drag files onto the icon and these files would be sent via secure email to our server. The interface will sit on the users© desktop and have a customizable appearance with a windows .ico. An administrator must have the ability to specify file format (the interface initially will be used for audio formats only). We would prefer an automatic SSL encrypted emailer to an administrator determined email address but will consider solutions that employ an SSH-like system (preferable to SFTP) to the users© unique folder on our server. If an encrypted compression utility (i.e. .ZIP) is used for either technique of file transfer then an application to automatically unpack the compressed file on our server must be included. We would like the tracking information of each interface upload to update a record of the transfer on our MySQL database. Ideally this interface would be an executable automatically configured with the user information located on our MySQL database prior to initial download and installation.
