We would like to make a component to manage eyeglasses capacity on our stores.
This is what we have in mind. Have the ability to setup each store with frames capacity (spaces) the administrator will be able to enter the parameters for each store. We mean by this, enter the basic layout of the store. The Component in the front end will be used by the managers to choose the approved frames and he will decide the quantity, each time a frame is selected/added and quantity is enter the system will deduct this quantity from the store capacity so the manager will know exactly how many spaces left on the board to be assigned to others.
This information has to be store and available for print in several kind of reports and the manager can change this information when ever he wants.
There have to be two sections; one in the back end for setting purpose, the access for this section will be through the Administration backend in Joomla and one in the front-end when the manager logon on our webpage, not all employees will have access to this section only the ones we select as managers. We will choose the managers from the list of user we have on Joomla.
The basic information we will have to enter for setting and make calculation is;
1- Store Number
2- Store Address
3- Number of spaces, on each space we can have a board for frames or accessories board. If we use a different board instead of frame we are decreasing frames spaces.
4- Type of frame boards, there are two type; Regular and Millennium. Each regular have a total capacity of 28 frames and each Millennium 36. The store can be Regular or Millennium.
5- We also have Mirrors some Mirrors occupied 7 spaces and other 9 spaces. On the Regular look is 7 and on the Millennium look is 9. All of this is important in order to calculate the Frames Total Capacity.
6- The fields should be something like this, Vendor Name, Frame Name, Frame Category, Frame Cost, Frame Disc, Frame Sales Price, Frame Sales Category and the system should be able to input the date on which we enter the frame for the first time and an Active checkbox to. If we inactive a frame the system will calculate how long this was approve. This information will be entered on the backend.
7- In the front-end the managers will choose their store and from the frames I just enter they will select the one the one to carry on the store and quantity. Every time a frame is added in the Planogram the system will perform a calculation and depending on the quantity the space available will decrease until it came to 0. If the manager try to assign more spaces than he have available the system will not allowed it, because there are no going to be spaces available.
8- There have to be different options for reports. Complete report by all stores for management purpose and by store, report by Category and percentage of use by this category from the total of frames capacity.
9- The report will show all the information by the category was chosen.
10- All the report will show on the web and it must have a print option.
11- If it is easy we would like to be able to import and export.
