I need to have a macros written for Excel 2007 and 2003 and Windows XP (Vista, but not necessary) OS's that would do the following:
1. if "F10" button is pressed on the keyboard, it will close the program or in other words exit.
2. if "F11" button is pressed it will dial the number in the selected field using PCI standard modem thats connected to a landline and a headset(user has to pick up the headset to talk). Automatically disconnect when the headset is hanged up.
I think there is no additional code to write for this feature with the headset, its like that by default, especially if you use [url removed, login to view] thats built in XP. Preferably not bring up the dialer window itself or autoclose it.
3. if "F12" button is pressed it will bring up search window, type in the search string, press "ENTER", this will show ALL found results in the current xls spreadsheet, not in the search window like it is by default, The search window needs to be autoclose once that "ENTER" button is pressed.
THE KEY FACTOR IS TRY TO AVOID USING THE MOUSE!!!
Pretty much, I'm trying to simulate a phonebook from an old WORKS 2.0 database and its behavior on the new Excel software (xls spreadsheet).
Here's the old macros ([url removed, login to view]) for Works 2.0 database (.WDB):
*search phone number
XLS Spreadsheet will have the following format (just incase if its important):
name1 1800-111-1234 1310-888-8888 some notes
name2 1800-222-3333 1323-777-7777 some other notes
