I recently migrated [login to view URL] to a new VPS running PHP 7.6. The storefront works fine except for one critical issue: during checkout the GST component disappears from the grand-total calculation. On the old PHP 5.6 server everything behaves correctly, so the breakage is almost certainly a Magento 1 ⇄ PHP 7 incompatibility. Environment details • Magento version: 1.7 x (legacy) • GST is handled through a custom extension—its full source code is available. • No third-party tax plugins are installed. • SSH, cPanel and Magento admin access to the new server will be provided. What I need 1. Identify the PHP 7.6 deprecations or fatal errors preventing the GST totals from being added. 2. Patch the custom extension (or core overrides) so GST appears in the order summary, invoice and e-mails exactly as on the old server. 3. Ensure no new warnings/notices are logged in [login to view URL] or [login to view URL] after the fix. 4. Deliver a concise changelog and the updated files so I can run a quick diff before going live. Acceptance criteria • Add a product to cart → proceed to checkout → GST visible in grand total, reflected in the final order to user inteterface.. • Testing must pass on both desktop and mobile themes in the staging domain. If you have solid experience retrofitting Magento 1 stores for PHP 7, this should be a straightforward task. Access can be granted immediately and I’m ready to sign off as soon as the above criteria are met.
