What’s broken The homepage GemPages Product List “Add to cart” buttons are rendering incorrectly. They’re oversized/misaligned because the generated button markup now includes extra content inside the button element. Where snippets/[login to view URL] What I found In the Product List item template, the actual <button> for Add to Cart contains more than just the label/icon. For the regular Add to Cart button: button starts around line 1114 inside that same button, there is: cart icon label extra divider/icon block around 1164–1175 gp-product-price block around 1179–1206 button closes at 1212 For the Out of Stock button: button starts around 1244 inside that same button, there is: icon label extra divider/icon block around 1273–1284 gp-product-price block around 1288–1315 button closes at 1321 So right now the button is effectively built like: [icon] [label] [separator] [price] instead of just a normal CTA button. What needs to be done The homepage product card template needs to be restored so the Add to Cart button contains only the intended CTA content. Developer ask Please update the GemPages homepage Product List item template so that: The Add to Cart button contains only: optional cart icon button label text Remove the extra content currently injected inside the button: the divider/icon block at 1164–1175 the gp-product-price block at 1179–1206 the divider/icon block at 1273–1284 the gp-product-price block at 1288–1315 If price needs to display, move it outside the <button> and render it as its own element in the product card. Apply the same fix to both: in-stock button out-of-stock button Verify there is no stray standalone button element left in the GemPages layout. Important This looks like a GemPages-generated snippet, so the real fix should be made in the GemPages template/editor, not only by editing the theme file directly, otherwise a future GemPages publish may overwrite the code. Expected result Each product card should render like: image title price normal pink Add to Cart button Not: image title price broken CTA with extra price/separator content inside the button You can send your developer this exact note: Please fix the GemPages homepage Product List button template. In snippets/[login to view URL], the Add to Cart and Out of Stock buttons have extra markup inside the <button> element, including a divider/icon block and gp-product-price. Please restore the CTA so the button contains only icon + label, and move any price display outside the button. The affected blocks are roughly lines 1164–1206 and 1273–1315. Please make the fix in GemPages/template source, not just theme code, so it persists after republish.

Hi there, I’ve spent the last 6 years solving exactly this type of problem: restoring clean, reliable CTA components in GemPages-generated layouts so homepage product cards render consistently across devices. I’ll fix the Add to Cart and Out of Stock buttons so they render as a true CTA (icon + label) without embedded price blocks or dividers inside the <button> element. The plan: - Update the GemPages homepage Product List item template to remove the extra markup inside the button (the divider/icon blocks and gp-product-price blocks). - Move any price display outside the button, rendering it as a separate element within the product card. - Apply the same fix to both in-stock and out-of-stock states and verify there are no stray standalone button elements. - Make the change in GemPages/template source (not just theme code) to persist through republishs. - Validate visuals and accessibility across desktop and mobile, ensuring the button remains the primary CTA with the product image and title above. What I’ll deliver: - A precise patch that restores the Add to Cart button to a simple icon + label CTA, with all price markup moved outside the button. - A small note you can send to your team documenting the fix and the exact blocks/lines touched (~lines 1164-1206 and 1273-1315, as described). - A quick re-publish test script to confirm no stray button markup remains. Best regards,

Hi, I’ve reviewed your notes about the GemPages Product List template, and the oversized Add to Cart buttons make sense given the extra divider and price blocks nested inside the button element. I’ve corrected similar GemPages overrides before, including restoring a corrupted PDP CTA layout that GemPages kept rewriting on publish. I resolved it by editing the underlying template source so the fix persisted. The real risk here is that adjusting only the theme file won’t survive a GemPages republish, and the button will break again. The key is to clean the button markup within the GemPages component itself and relocate the price element so the CTA remains a proper, minimal button. I’ll remove the divider and gp-product-price blocks from both in‑stock and out‑of‑stock buttons, reposition the price as its own element, and verify no stray button nodes remain in the card layout. Before I begin, can you confirm whether this section is dynamically generated by a GemPages Product List widget or a custom GemPages element you previously modified? Thanks, John allen.

Hi, I understand the issue with the GemPages Product List on your Shopify homepage where the Add to Cart button is rendering incorrectly because additional elements such as divider blocks and price markup are being injected inside the button element. This causes the CTA to appear oversized and misaligned. My approach would be to review the GemPages product card template associated with the snippet gp section file and identify the blocks that are incorrectly nested inside the button element. I would restructure the markup so the button only contains the intended icon and label while relocating the price component and divider elements outside the button container. The same correction will be applied to both the in stock and out of stock states while ensuring the fix is implemented within the GemPages editor or template configuration so it is not overwritten on future publishes. Before delivery I will test the layout across desktop, tablet, and mobile views, confirm proper cart functionality, validate the DOM structure, and republish through GemPages to verify the changes persist. Best, Justin
